Over the past 15 months, there has been substantial progress to upgrade the local road infrastructure. With the national elections looming, the FSLN Government is both improving the local roads and creating employment. The ocean access roads immediately north and south of us are paved and will be paved by August 2011 respectively. The road south of us is in process.

They have started work on three ocean access roads in our state of Leon.

The first section is the One is completed; The Leon to Managua old highway and the section from Leon to Poneloya, the next ocean access road north of ours.

The second section is the Puerto Sandino access road to ocean from the Old Leon to Managua Highway. It ends across the river from Suenos Beach.

This section is under development and scheduled to be completed Fall 2011.

And the third one is our ocean road, which is in planning. Our road to Salinas Grandes has been slated for paving for years.
