Yahoo! After many months of active working with numerous parties, Suenos Beach is (very) happy to announce that we have received the long awaited master title insurance policy from Land America.
The process to receive this policy was extensive, and testifies that the title insurance company has investigated the land titles issues and the other possible risks related to Suenos Beach, and has concluded that we have proper title to the land.
This is a significant step forward for us, and we continue to prepare for building your new home. |

Suenos restaurant is almost complete and ready to serve you.
The restaurant is located on Suenos Point overlooking the Suenos Beach, the Lobster Rocks, several surf breaks, and awesome fishing grounds. Fresh local snapper is as easy as walking into the ocean to your knees and hand lining a 2' snapper. No kidding!
To have fresh lobster, one need walk out front and dive 7' feet under and pick up a lobster. The river fishing is also amazing in terms of fly fishing, casting, and belly boating. he speciality of the house is definately sea food.
The lodge will have 7 rooms at completion, of which 2 rooms are ready in 2 weeks. In October 2008, we are offering rooms at $25/ night. Los Suenos is fast becoming the choice for Managua groups of 30-40 seeking a Nica Beach experience with no security concerns. We had our first church mission group from the USA this weekend. It was the perfect end to a week's mission work. The restaurant worked extremely well and we are proud to say handled 40 appetites smoothly. We welcome more church groups and similar groups such as embassy staff, corporate groups, retreats, and childrens camps. The existing equipment available is 5 power boats, banana boats, surfboards, boogie boards, river tubing, volleyball, soccer, horses, goats/cows/turtles/armadillos/iguanas/flamingos/ducks/herons, hammocks, fishing of all sorts, beach walks, beach umbrellas, scuba equipment, compressed scuba air, whale watching and fantastic swimming. The surfing is excellent on 4 breaks ranging from beginner to expert. The expert is a double high barrel breaking both left and right on a sandy bottom at the rivers mouth. It is a special wave and very long at 1100 feet in length.
The fishing is second to none in the world. We bring in 150 pound sailfish up to 3 per day. These are catch and release fish. However, there are multitudes of tuna, snapper, dorado and other good eating fish that we prepare for you at the Suenos restaurant.

The Los Suenos Marina is moving forward swiftly.
Being the only natural safe harbor within 3.5 hours of the countries boat owners, Suenos is getting many requests to move boats off trailers or from SJDS to our safe protected waters. Suenos is an hour drive on paved highways from 35% of the countries population, with a massive repaving program starting in a few weeks which will provide a second top notch paved route from the capital.
The protected river system shown here does not exist anywhere south till Costa Rica. If you have a boat on a trailer in Managua or anchored in the SJDS bay, we suggest you contact us for early bird specials. At present, we can offer diesel gas at dockside, diesel mechanics, boat ramp, crane use to 20 tons, secured parking, boat maintenance services, and fishing services. The lodge and restaurant are opening very shortly. |

Off the coast of Suenos Beach is a major breeding ground for humpback whales. These fantastic mammals play in the surf with one another with youthful energy. The young are born in our area and they enjoy the plentiful food in the crystal clean water. One can also see large groups of dolphins jumping waves at many different spots. |

A deal is being negotiated to provide a fishing and wildlife tour on the well-known Grayline Bus company of Nicaragua.
This will be offered to cruise ship clients docking at nearby Corinto and often lunch in Leon. The tour will consist of a private off shore fishing excursion and will expand into whale watching, turtle observation and lobster trapping. It could also be expanded to a surf day. The deep sea fishing experience is first-class with minimal competiton in the country. We expect this to be very successful. |

Another day off Suenos Beach brings in yet another 150 pound fish. This is world class !!! We are landing five foot dorados, sailfish and mackerals every day.
The astonishing marine life discovery journey continues every day as we learn more about this pristine area. For instance, right now hundreds of sea turtles are nesting nightly on Tamarindo Beach, immediately north of Suenos Beach. They come on shore around 10 pm and the huge animals lumber up the beach. Meanwhile, the humpback whale has a breeding area off shore and many small whales are jumping. Packs of dolphins are also present off shore with groups of 20 jumping waves. Finally, the rock shelf projecting a kilometer off the island is loaded with lobster. It is a simple free dive 5-10' under to pick up your dinner.
For environmental minded people, we are strictly catch and release fishers. We also are clear on the priority to protect these marine treasures. We welcome you to come and participate in this process. |

Work continues on the restoration of the Nicaraguan colonial lodge.
The crew is carefully reconstructing the 3 buildings to reflect the simple life of yester year. The large oceanfront palapa offers vista views north and south up the coast and directly west to the surf waves just off the beach. The new roofs of the 5 room lodge are almost complete and the walls are getting their final concrete parge coat. The new kitchen deck and large courtyard palapa looking out to the surf break is a fantastic place to gaze onto the surf and fishing possibilities. The ocean waves crashing, salty air and deep dark tropical nights guarantee a deep sleep for travellers after a full day enjoying all the unique adventures in the Los Suenos Beach Resort area. |
