On the weekend, several wave runners were in action in the Tamarindo River system behind the island. The Suenos Resort is possibly the best terrain in Nicaragua for such adventure with over 14 miles of untouched rivers to explore and see wildlife. The river system is uninhabited and is home to iguanas and multitudes of fish and beautiful tropical birds. As we adventure further into the river system, we are just beginning to understand how great the fishing is in this area. The beauty of this island area is that there are so many outdoor pursuits to be done in its natural state. It is not required to build a $15 million dollar golf course.  After wave running around the beautiful Tamarindo river, we spent some time jumping surf on the Pacific Ocean beach front, followed up by a swim. This weekend confirms our belief that this area is an upcoming aquatic paradise.
