A web log ('blog') is an open discussion forum accessible via a browser. It can be either moderated (submissions are reviewed), or not. To submit to some blogs, you must register youself.

All blogs have a form of a subscribe and automatic publish model -- once your subscribed, the blog should use RSS (Really Simple Syndication) to automatically push any new submissions to your RSS reader. This means that you do not have to visit the blog to receive automatic updates of the information (however you will have to visit the blog to get the content detail).
